Orange County GOP endorses Dr. Coronado to replace inefficient Sharon Quirk-Silva in State Assembly

Orange County party leaders have announced their support for Dr. Alexandria Coronado in her bid to represent California’s 65th Assembly District. Coronado has also received the endorsements of Assemblyman Matthew Harper, Irvine Mayor Don Wagner, and former Republican leaders Dick Ackerman and Bob Huff.

“Coronado will not only fight for the safety of those who reside in the 65th District, but she will also stand up for our conservative values in Sacramento. We need effective leadership and believe Dr. Coronado will be uncompromising in her commitment to serve Orange County residents,” said Orange County GOP Chairman Fred Whitaker.

Upon receiving the endorsement, Coronado said, “I am very excited to be endorsed by the Republican Party of Orange County. It is amazing to be supported by my peers and I am excited to fight for the people in my district.”

Coronado is the former President of the Orange County Board of Education. She served as Treasurer for the University of Southern California’s Thornton Alumni Association. As a former Member of the Council of Urban Boards of Education Board of Directors, Coronado is committed to providing opportunities for the future of California’s 65th District.
