Residents discuss the community improvements most important to them.

Anaheim First has completed its second round of neighborhood town halls—one for each council district—as part of the Anaheim Community Assessment. A year ago, the City Council approved Mayor Harry Sidhu’s 2030 Neighborhood Investment Program to invest an additional $250 million in Anaheim neighborhoods over ten years. Several hundred residents participated in this second round of Town Halls to discuss and identify their neighborhood’s needs and priorities.

Residents of all ages participated.

This direct resident input will form the basis of the Anaheim Community Assessment that will help guide the 2030 Neighborhood Investment Program.

Each town hall meeting included a lengthy amount of time for residents to work together to identify priorities for neighborhood improvements.

Participants in the second round of Town Halls had the opportunity to review and comment on the priority neighborhood projects identified by resident input to date.

The next step is finalizing the Community Assessment and presenting it to the City Council in the spring. Anaheim First wishes to thank the hundreds of Anaheim residents who invested their time and perspectives, along with city staff for their support and collaboration. Anaheim First is especially grateful to Mayor Sidhu, Mayor Pro Tem Steve Faessel and Council Members Jordan Brandman, Lucille Kring and Trevor O’Neil for attending the second round of town halls to engage residents.
