Angels exec Molly Jolly elected Board Chair for Girl Scouts of OC

Delegates from across the local council recently elected longtime board member and Angels Baseball Senior Vice President Molly Jolly as the new Board Chair for Girl Scouts of Orange County’s Board of Directors. As chair, Molly provides leadership to the organization. Her responsibilities include advising the CEO and Board on council matters, overseeing policy between membership and the Board of Directors, ensuring that actions of the Board of Directors are carried into effect, and serving as an ambassador and advocate for Girl Scouting in Orange County.

Michele Richards, Vice President of Business Development for the OC Fair & Event Center was elected to join Girl Scouts of Orange County’s Board of Directors as a Member-at-Large. Michele will work alongside Girl Scouts of Orange County’s existing board members in governing the council through functions that include strategic planning, policy development and fiduciary oversight.

Molly Jolly is Angels Baseball’s Senior Vice President, Finance & Administration and in her 19th season with the organization. She became the highest-ranking woman in Angels Baseball in her third year with the team and remains an integral part of the primary operations of the Club. Jolly oversees all financial matters for Angels Baseball, including strategic initiatives, reporting and planning, budgeting, accounting and payroll. She is also responsible for office administration, including legal and risk management, human resources, information services and strategic facility planning. Additionally, she oversees financial operations at Angel Stadium for non-baseball events such as Supercross, Monster Jam and concerts. Jolly was a Gold Award Girl Scout and has served on the Girl Scouts of Orange County board since 2014.

Michele Richards is the OC Fair & Event Center’s Vice President of Business Development, leading the sales, marketing, communications, community engagement, exhibits and education, events and creative services teams. Richards began her career in advertising and marketing, working for agencies in Atlanta, Los Angeles and Orange County, before launching her own consulting practice. She has provided organizational and leadership development consulting to multiple Orange County clients, including the OC Fair & Event Center. With over 30 years of leadership experience spanning numerous fields, Richards joined the OC Fair team in 2012 and serves at the executive level.

Additional changes to the 2019-2020 Girl Scouts of Orange County board slate include the election of existing members, Christine Scheuneman (Farmers & Merchants Bank of Long Beach) to 1st Vice Chair and Jeff Winston (Philanthropist) to Secretary.
