January 15—Memorial Tree planted at Olive Hills Dog Park

A Coast Live Oak was planted at Olive Hills Dog Park on January 15 in memory of Jeanette Anneli Sjoholm-Medina. Several members of Jeanette’s family gathered for the planting having chosen the park due to Jeanette’s love of dogs. The beautiful tree will reach up to 40-60 feet providing shade for visitors to the park. Due to its location, just outside of the fenced area, a park bench was placed in its shade for others, like Jeanette, who enjoyed coming to watch the dogs at play.
