The Orange County Wind Symphony (OCWS) will present their first concert of its 2018-19 season on Sunday, Aug. 26.
The OCWS will present a concert featuring compositions composed for Wind Chamber Ensembles. Music of Gordon Jacob, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Arthur Bird will be featured on this concert.
It will take place at Servite High School (1952 W La Palma Ave., Anaheim), with a 6 p.m. pre-concert lecture and 6:30 p.m. concert.
General admission is $20. Seniors and students are $15.
There is free parking onsite.
The OCWS is a regional semi-professional Wind Ensemble serving a metropolitan area of approximately three million people. The OCWS is honored to be part of the Anaheim community and in July 2011 was designated, along with the OCS as the Resident Wind Symphony for the City of Anaheim. Dr. Anthony Mazzaferro, an accomplished Wind Band & Orchestral conductor, who currently serves on the faculties of the music departments of Chapman University and the Orange County School for the Arts, leads the Wind Symphony.
