On Saturday, November 2, the Altrusa International of Anaheim, Inc. will host their annual Festival of Trees fundraiser. This year the event will be held in a new location—Zion Lutheran Community Hall at 222 N East St.

There will be decorated trees, a silent auction, Mystery Stars, Gifts to Go and homemade baked goods, jams and jellies to get you started on the holiday celebrations. The event is from 11:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m.

Funds raised at this event will support the many service projects the club supports. These include the Creative Writing Project in all 23 Anaheim elementary schools, NEA Big Read, Cops for Kids, JOYA, WTLC, Pathways of Hope and the HUB of Hope Pantry, Scholarships at Fullerton College, ROP, Casa Teresa, YWCA and St. Catherine’s Academy, Ronald McDonald House, international projects Days4Girls, PLAN International, Women with Purpose in Tijuana, and more.

Advanced tickets are $20/$25 at the door. Refreshments will be served, and space is limited so reservations are encouraged. To donate, purchase tickets or for more information on Festival of Trees, call 714-342-3536 or visit the website at altrusaanaheimca.org.

The 72-year-old club is part of a century-old international organization of professionals and business people who provide for their communities through volunteer community service. The club has during this fiscal year volunteered over 6,500 community service hours.

The Anaheim club is part of District 11, which is comprised of California, Nevada, Arizona, Hawaii, Baja North and South and Sonoma, Mexico. The club meets the fourth Monday of most months at the Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites on Walnut for business, dinner and a program, at 6:30 p.m.

Donations to support the Anaheim club’s service projects may be sent to the 501(c)(3) charitable organization: Altrusa International of Anaheim Foundation, PO Box 8468, Anaheim, CA, 92812.
