About the show

Disney’s classic story of Belle, a young woman in a provincial town, and the Beast, who is really a young prince trapped under the spell of an enchantress. If the Beast can learn to love and be loved, the curse will end and he will be transformed to his former self. But time is running out. If the Beast does not learn his lesson soon, he and his household will be doomed for all eternity. Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast” offers a great opportunity to bring the entire community together for family theatre at its best.

About the audition

Prepare a song in your range (no pop music). An accompanist is provided for those with sheet music, or you may bring a karaoke-style CD without a vocal track. A short dance routine will also be learned on the day of auditions, so appropriate attire and footwear is strongly recommended. One dance routine will be taught at each auditions session, so be on time. Missing the dance auditions will greatly affect casting decisions.

Rehearsals and performance dates

Rehearsals are on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the Buena Park Community Center located at 6688 Beach Blvd., and on Saturdays at the Ehlers Event Center located at 8150 Knott Ave. from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Performance dates are being determined at press time.
