On April 21, the West Anaheim Neighborhood Development (WAND) Council, a non-profit group of dedicated residents working to improve the West Anaheim area, is hosting its 22nd Annual Anaheim Western BBQ at Maxwell Park (2655 W. Orange Ave.) from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
WAND will host a full day of family-friendly activities with a wide variety of food options and entertainment. This is a wonderful opportunity to interact with your community. There will be opportunity tickets available for prizes, silent auction items, and free cake! For the children there will be pony rides, pot-bellied pigs, games, activities, the Anaheim book mobile, interactive displays, and on-stage entertainment including a reptile show. For the adults there will be a Garden Center, and lots of crafters, vendors, food groups, and a variety of community resources. Local school groups will be performing along with a variety of performers on the main stage. There will also be demonstrations from the Anaheim Police Department. Admission is free. Food will be available for purchase.
