The city has just released the initial design for Rick Gomez Park, near 8th and Western. The park is named for a man beloved in the community who passed away earlier this year. He was a Park and Recreation Commissioner and a very popular youth sports coach. Residents made their voices heard at community meetings, and David Volz Design will be will be the lead engineering and landscape design firm on the project.
