The Segerstrom Center for the Arts welcomes the American Ballet Theatre production of “The Sleeping Beauty” in a world premiere from March 3-8. This enchanting and timeless tale comes to life featuring a stellar cast, live music and lavish costumes. This production is inspired by the Ballets Russes production that made its premiere in London in 1921. The set/costumes are inspired by the original Léon Bakst designs. There will be restaging of Marius Petipa’s choreography as well. The production will receive its New York premiere during ABT’s 2015 spring season, and is certain to be a cornerstone during the company’s celebratory 75th anniversary year at the Metropolitan Opera House.
