Monsters enter the streets of Knott’s Berry Farm’s Halloween Haunt to spend a night of scaring unwary guests.

Be prepared to scream

The Haunt is here.

Knott’s Berry Farm’s Halloween Haunt opened just before last weekend and was packed with ghosts and goblins.

The marauding cast of spooky characters were prepared to scare those who dared to venture out into the misty night air.

As the sun begins to lower in the sky, the park closes, then resets as the fog begins to roll in and fill the streets for a foggy night of adventure.

Once again, Knott’s has unleashed a fine bunch of 1,000 spooky monsters through Halloween, extending through Saturday, November 2.

Brave souls prepare to experience the all-new maze, Wax Works, as well as The Depths, Paranormal, Inc. and Dark Entities. There are unimaginable scares and innovative thrills at Knott’s Scary Farm.

“Puppet Up” is described by its makers as an outrageous, off-the-cuff live show combining comedy and the magic of puppetry with a cast of world-class puppeteers from The Jim Henson Company, which includes mature audience participation; need I say more?

“The Hanging” is the annual live stage show with some “killer” pop-culture comedy.

Beware, monsters come in all shapes and sizes at Knott’s Halloween Haunt.

In The Bird Cage Theatre is “Magic and Mirth,” and then there’s “Awaken the Dead,” to dance and sing along to. It all makes for a fun and scary evening of activities.

Knott’s is 160 acres of amazingly transformed and fog-filled streets with monsters noiselessly stepping out of the dark and lurking in every corner of the park. “Sliders” with metal knee pads burst into fiery combustion in the cool night air, chilling even the most brave’s spine. It’s not for the faint of heart.

Once again we’re reminded that mazes with blood and gore are someone’s nightmares. “I remember my bad dreams, write them down and they become part of the Haunt,” said one of the creators.

For those with a stomach left after all of the scare, there are spooky and devilish foods such as the Peaches and Scream, Bloody Eyeball Boba and Zombie Chicken Sandwich, to name a few.

On your way, brave souls, to the 2019 Knott’s Scary Farm. You may need a survival guide.

Knott’s Scary Farm is open from 7 p.m. to 1 a.m. on select Thursdays, Sundays, Mondays and Halloween Night, and 7 p.m. to 2 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
