This is a monthly roundup of all that the organization Anaheim Beautiful has been involved in recently. If you would like to highlight accomplishments or recent goings-on for an organization or individual in Anaheim, please email newsroom@localnewspapers.org.
It was another busy month for Anaheim Beautiful and more plans are in the works to take us through the holiday season.
Adopt-A-Neighborhood Cleanup in Balsam Curtis Neighborhood
As part of a partnership that began 10 years ago, the Anaheim Rotary, Anaheim Beautiful, Superior Services, Inc. and the City of Anaheim Community Services, Code Enforcement and Police Departments, once again held a neighborhood clean up in the Balsam Curtis area of Anaheim. Volunteers, residents and representatives from these organizations worked together to clean debris, remove litter and graffiti in the area, all on a beautiful weekend morning. The event, which is a showing of support for those who make their home in Anaheim, occurs twice a year, with the next cleanup to be held in April 2020.
Miss Anaheim Beautiful and Her Court Already On the Job– Not long after being named Miss Anaheim Beautiful, Priscilla Oropeza and her court have participated in a number of events over the past few weeks, especially with the Anaheim Fall Festival and Halloween Parade. The young ladies tallied up a large number of volunteer hours in preparation of and during the event, including working on Festival decorations, judging the pumpkin and children’s costume contests, helping at the craft booth and riding in the parade. Anaheim Beautiful adult and youth members donated their time by helping at the Fall Festival craft booth. The Court also had a bright and early morning for the Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast on October 25th.
