Anaheim Beautiful receives $2,500 donation from Disneyland Resort

On behalf of Disneyland Resort Canoe Races, Anaheim Beautiful received a $2,500 donation for their work promoting and enhancing beauty in Anaheim. The award was presented to Anaheim Beautiful’s president Sandra Sagert in the early morning hours of Wednesday, August 7, on the day of the final event to determine the canoe racing champion teams in four divisions. “We were so delighted to be presented this unexpected donation. We are a membership-based organization whose many programs help beautify our city and these funds are much appreciated,” said Sagert. “It was a lot of fun to attend these races on a beautiful morning inside the park.”

Fall Membership Luncheon—September 4

As Anaheim Beautiful starts its program this year, their annual Fall Membership Luncheon is set for Wednesday, September 4, 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. at Mama Cozza’s Restaurant. This quarterly event is a time for members to gather and learn about all that the organization has planned for the coming months. In addition, this is the time of year that Anaheim Beautiful memberships are up for renewal. “The theme for our membership drive, which starts September 1, is “Here We Grow Again,” said Debbie Herman, Anaheim Beautiful’s Membership Chairman. “Our goal is to grow our organization even more than we did last year when we increased our membership by nearly 25 percent. We hope that our current members will not only renew again, but also spread the world about our programs and their impact in the community. We’d like them to encourage their friends to join as well.” Members can join online or participate in a special combo deal with a discounted lunch rate offered with a new or renewed membership. Details can be found at http://anaheimbeautiful.org/?p=3601 or the Anaheim Beautiful Facebook page.
