The City of Buena Park is proud to announce its upcoming exhibition partnership with Sunny Hills High School.
This exhibition provides an assessment platform for International Baccalaureate (IB) art students to showcase the final product of their art-making processes. It allows for the assessment of the observable qualities of technical resolution, the successful communication of ideas, and the synthesis of form and function.
It also provides students with the opportunity to demonstrate their discernment by identifyng the strongest works for the exhibition, how to arrange these works to their best advantage, and to make connections for the audience between each art piece. As part of the IB art assessment, each student must write a curatorial rationale, plan for the presentation of their work, and mount the exhibition according to their plan.
This exhibition will be on view April 8 through May 15 in the City Council Chamber at Buena Park City Hall, 6650 Beach Blvd. City Hall is open Monday-Thursday, 7:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. and alternating Fridays.
