Congratulations to Dawn Breese, a leader and icon in the Magnolia School District, on her recent accomplishment of being awarded California State Senator Josh Newman’s Science/Technology Woman of the Year.
Breese currently serves as Principal for the district’s innovative Robert M. Pyles STEM Academy and is a product of the Magnolia School District herself. As a member of Magnolia’s professional staff, Dawn has served as a teacher, District Teacher on Special Assignment, District Office Administrator, and is now in her ninth year as school Principal.
Last year, Dawn helped her school in the transition to a full-fledged STEM Academy, where elementary school students are receiving rigorous instruction in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics with a computer science emphasis.
Because of these accomplishments, among others, Senator Josh Newman named Breese 2018’s Science/Technology Woman of the Year.
