St. Catherine’s Academy (SCA), an all boys’ Catholic school with a military tradition in Anaheim, hosted its graduation ceremony for the Class of 2018 on June 13. The graduation Eucharist and commencement ceremony recognized 40, both local and international students for their successes from the oldest elementary school in Orange County, which was established in 1889.
The graduation gathered hundreds of local and international families who attended the special occasion. SCA was a home to many students as the school offers boarding and day options. A special Mass was presided by Father John Moneypenny, followed by award presentations including the Marc A. Ariaz Mendez Memorial Award and the Howard Helen Wiederholt Memorial Scholarship. The event also showcased an impressive drill performance and music recital performed by SCA’s student body.
A special highlight was a speech delivered by eighth grade Regimental Commander Rogelio T. and Ryan B.

SCA, founded in 1889 by the Dominican Sisters of Mission San Jose, is an independent Catholic school with a military tradition for boys in Transitional kindergarten through eighth grade. The school offers both day and resident programs.
