The Toyota Summer Concert Series at Pacific Amphitheatre is going strong through Aug. 25 and tickets are available for several shows.
Music and events at The Hangar and Action Sports Arena will end when the annual OC Fair closes Aug. 12, but the Pacific Symphony will close out the season at Pacific Amphitheatre with a Tchaikovsky Fireworks Spectacular on Sept. 8.
TOTO and ASIA featuring John Payne take the stage Wednesday at Pacific Amphitheatre, while Wild Child, a Jim Morrison Celebration, performs at The Hangar and Motorhome Madness kicks off five nights of demolition derbies at Action Sports Arena.
A string of sold-out shows, including Willie Nelson & Family and Alison Krauss (Aug. 9), Rebelution Free Rein Summer Tour (Aug. 10), Steve Miller Band and Peter Frampton (Aug. 12) and Stray Cats (Aug. 17) will fill Pacific Amphitheatre this week.
But second Rebelution (Aug. 11) and Stray Cats (Aug. 16) shows give fans another chance to catch these favorites. Tickets are available on Ticketmaster.
Then, on Aug. 18, the Pacific Symphony will perform the music of E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial while the movie plays.
Tickets are also available for Ziggy Marley/The Green/Josh Heinrichs (Aug. 19), Thievery Corporation/Steel Pulse/Simpkin Project (Aug. 24) and Phillip Phillips/Gavin DeGraw (Aug. 25) at Pacific Amphitheatre, as well as tribute bands Totally Go-Go’s/Idol X (Aug. 9) and Devotional/Hollywood Erasure (Aug. 10) at The Hangar. The iBUYPOWER GameFest Expo and VIP Experience moves into The Hangar Aug. 11-12 to close the Fair.
At Action Sports Arena, the destruction continues with two Orange Crush Demolition Derbies (Aug. 9 and 12), Damsels of Destruction (Aug. 10) and a new show this year, Terrible Trucks, a full-size truck demolition event (Aug. 11).
Tickets purchased before Aug. 12 include free admission to the 2018 OC Fair.
