Silverado Days is still three months away, but thanks to an announcement from the Buena Park Noon Lions at this week’s City Council Meeting, residents can start getting excited for this year’s iteration. Silverado Days General Chair Pat Donnelly announced that the theme for the annual festival will be “Never Stop the Fight.” As many organizations and festivals do in October, it will rally around the fight against breast cancer, in concurrence with Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

The Lions will partner with the Buena Park Police Department in their “Pink Patch Project” efforts, chaired by Detective David Pantoja. The logo for this year’s festival is Silverado Sam wearing one of the pink police patches, next to a pink ribbon.

Silverado Days 2019 will be the weekend of October 18-20 at Peak Park. There will be entertainment, as always, to include tributes to the Beach Boys and Beatles, and the Sweetwater Creek Band, the Mariachi Divas, and a k-pop group, and who else but Raymond Michael as Elvis, to wrap up the weekend.

There will be a multitude of activities to keep the crowds busy, including, a new feature this year, an American Cornhole Tournament.
