The Sunny Park for Buena Park City Council Campaign released a strong local endorsement recently from Centralia School Board Trustee Connor Traut. In endorsing Park, Traut made the following statement:
“As a fellow Buena Park resident, I’m proud to endorse Sunny Park. We have a shared vision of safer neighborhoods, helping our small businesses thrive, and partnering more with our local schools. Sunny Park is a proven, community-focused leader, and I look forward to working with her toward improving our city for all residents together.”
Traut is a Trustee-at-Large for the Centralia Elementary School Board and was first elected by voters in 2014. He is also a former Orange County Juvenile Justice Commissioner, and serves on the board for multiple area non-profits. He and his fiancee Cheyenne live in the same Buena Park neighborhood his parents were raised in. He graduated from Chapman University.
Park is a small-business owner, neighborhood leader, and community advocate in Buena Park. She is also a state commissioner serving on the California Board of Accountancy, where she works to protect consumers and provide transparency for all practicing accountants. She lives with her husband Eugene and their daughter in Buena Park District 1, which will be having its first scheduled election in Nov. 2018.
