Anaheim’s 23rd Annual Flag Day Celebration and Parade will be on Sunday, June 10 from 1-4 p.m. at Pearson Park (401 N. Lemon St.). There will be free admission and parking, free flags provided, food for a nominal fee, and a patriotic parade and performances. Bring your tattered American flags for retirement by Anaheim Boy Scouts. The “What the American Flag Means to Me” student essay contest winners will also be announced, and veterans and service members will be commemorated.
This yearly event was originally organized by Ms. Sally Feldhaus, wife of past Anaheim City Council Member and World War II veteran Frank Feldhaus, to honor our nation’s Flag Day. See www.AnaheimFlagDay.com for more information.
