There are some exciting new developments happening in the future of tourism for Buena Park, namely the opening of three brand new hotels. Not only will this open up more space for visitors to invest in Buena Park, but it is a part of an ongoing shift within the city towards capitalizing on opportunities to build the city up for tourists and locals alike.

The three hotels that are planning to open are, The Aloft Hotel, The Stanford Hotel, and The Hampton Inn and Suites. The Aloft Hotel and Standord Hotel are expected to open in 2018 and were approved by the City Council in May while The Hampton Inn and Suites is supposed to open later this year.

The Aloft Hotel is a five-story hotel with 150 rooms and will be located just steps away from Knott’ Berry Farm and the city’s popular dinner shows. This sleek, modern design will feature a restaurant, bar, and coffee house with an outdoor patio and one of the area’s largest hotel fitness centers. Visitors will also enjoy advanced features like mobile room keys, robotic butlers and text- to-order room service. The Aloft Hotel is planning to invest $24 million dollars into its new location and is expected to open in September 2018.

Hotel Stanford has locations in New York and Seoul Korea and will bring their popular boutique hotel concept right to the heart of the Entertainment Zone. The ten-story property will offer modern accommodations with luxurious amenities so that after a long day of fun, visitors will be able to relax at the hotel spa or dine at the hotel’s restaurant and wine bar.

According to sources, Mayor Swift expressed concern that this 10-story property would cause conflict with nearby apartments, however, it was unanimously approved and is expected to invest $34 million dollars into the location. Details as to when in 2018 the hotel will be opening have not been released.

The city is also expecting another hotel that will be coming even sooner, The Hampton Inn and Suites. This 102-room hotel will be four stories tall and conveniently located off the 5 freeway. The property will include an outdoor pool, modern rooms, meeting space, state-of-the-art fitness center and breakfast area.

With tourist sites like Disneyland, Knott’s Berry Farm, and the up and coming Butterfly Palladium expected to be developed in the summer of 2018, it is no wonder why Buena Park is positioning themselves for more visitors to take advantage of a ripe marketplace. Buena Park residents can view upcoming developments on the city’s website as these additions are hoping to increase the well-being the City and increase opportunity for locals.
