“I am so honored that the voters in the new 65th Assembly District have entrusted me to represent them in the legislature. With the election now behind us, I look forward to going to Sacramento to focus on solving the problems facing our state and working to improve the lives of the hard-working families in this district and across California. I want to take this opportunity to thank Chris Norby for his years of public service to our community and look forward to a smooth transition. The message from the voters in this election was clear – they want action from the legislature and an end to the partisan gridlock. I am anxious to get to work ensuring that the values and the voices of residents in Orange County are heard and that there is renewed commitment in the legislature for creating jobs, expanding the middle class and improving education.”

Quirk-Silva defeated Chris Norby, who she will replace in December.
