The Sunny Park for Buena Park City Council Campaign today announced a major endorsement from State Assemblywoman Sharon Quirk-Silva (D—Fullerton). This endorsement gives the Park campaign huge momentum heading into the filing period, which began July 16.

“I’m very pleased to endorse Sunny Park for District 1,” Quirk-Silva stated. “She will be a great Councilmember in Buena Park and I know she’s committed to protecting the community and improving quality of life for all residents in Buena Park. She will bring new leadership and transparency to City Hall, and I’m proud to stand with her in November.”

Sunny Park is a small business owner and neighborhood and community leader in Buena Park. Sunny serves on the California Board of Accountancy, a state regulator for 100,000 accountants licensed to practice in California. It handles $13 million dollars of state budgets, oversees state legislation concerning accountants, and makes determinations as to the revocation of CPA licenses. She also volunteers with many local charities and non-profits and is the president of the Buena Park Noon Lions Club Foundation. Sunny and her husband are proud homeowners in Bellhurst, and their daughter attends local public schools.
