The Sunny Park for Buena Park City Council Campaign announced last week a major endorsement from the Orange County Professional Firefighters Local 3631. This rare early endorsement from such  a respected organization gives the Park campaign huge momentum going into 2018.

Baryic Hunter, the President of the OC Professional Firefighters Local 3631, released the following statement:

“On behalf of the over 800 professional firefighters represented by local 3631, we are proud to endorse Sunny Park for Buena Park City Council. She has a strong commitment to making Buena Park a safer place for all residents. We know she will be an advocate for public safety and first responders and we look forward to working with her toward victory in November.”

“I’m very honored and humbled to announce this support,” Park responded. “Our brave firefighters put themselves on the line everyday to ensure the safety of this community. I am proud to stand with them in my campaign for City Council.”

Sunny Park is a small-business owner, neighborhood leader, and community advocate in Buena Park. She is also a state commissioner serving on the California Board of Accountancy, where she works to protect consumers and provide transparency for all practicing accountants. She lives with her husband, Eugene, and their daughter in Buena Park District 1, which will be having its first scheduled election in Nov. 2018.

  1. Sunny Park just moved to Buena Park from Huntington Beach. She is a carpetbagger and has no history or experience with Buena Park or its issues. I don’t understand how she got this endorsement considering the incumbent Mayor Virginia Vaughn’s unwavering support of the Orange County Firefighters and the consturction of the new fire station in Buena Park. This just doesn’t add up.
