Looking to our neighbors across the pond we note three royal events that will be followed with fascination by fans around the world. Britain has recently celebrated a royal birth, in May, a royal wedding, and in June Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II will celebrate her “second” birthday and the 65 years since her coronation in 1953.

On Sunday, May 20, Maestro Anthony Mazzaferro (Dr. Tony) will present the Orange County Wind Symphony ensemble at Anaheim Center for the Performing Arts at Servite in the third concert of their 2017-2018 season titled “Heritage of Great Britain.” The audience will gain insights to the vision and motivation of the composers with Dr. Tony’s preconcert talk at 6 p.m. with the baton to follow at 6:30 p.m. Selections will include the music of Gustav Holst, Martin Ellerbe, Sir William Walton, Edward Gregson, Sir Edward Elgar and Gordon Jacob representing a wide range of instrumental color and majesty.

We move forward in our 15 years of serving the community with beautiful live orchestras on stage and the performance excellence they provide.
