As tax season approaches, Orange County United Way, with support from Citi Community Development, is offering OC free tax prep, where households earning less than $60,000 in 2017 can qualify to file state and federal taxes for free. Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program volunteers are onsite at various locations throughout the county to walk individuals through the process and work with them to find tax credits, like the federal and state Earned Income Tax Credits, to help them keep more of their hard-earned money.
