Ooak Kitchen is now open at The Source, at 6980 Beach Blvd. Ooak is an acronym for one of a kind, and the restaurant hopes to live up to that moniker with its vegetarian and vegan Chinese food. This is the second location of the Cantonese fusion restaurant, with the first established in Culver City in 2016. The menu features tofu dishes, curry, a full dim sum menu served Mondays through Fridays from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays from 12 p.m.-6 p.m. (highlights include Portuguese Egg Tarts, XO Rice Cakes, and wontons in house made chili oil), truffle soup, creamy pumpkin soup, numerous noodle dishes and a dessert menu that includes mochi, crystal egg (clear grass jelly, micro flowers and coconut milk) and coconut koi (coconut jelly in the shape of a koi fish, served with coconut sauce).
