Justine Banal was crowned as the new Miss Buena Park at last Saturday’s Soroptimist International of Buena Park’s Charity Ball. Her court includes Princess Deija Medearis and Dulce Bernal.
The Miss Buena Park program is designed to empower young ladies to make a positive difference in their community. They will spend the next year attending community events including the La Palma Parade and Silverado Days.

Honored at the Buena Park Charity Ball was the outgoing Miss Buena Park, Emily Parker, and her court Princesses-Cassie Sanchez, Rachael Hoetker, Danielle Donoghue and Kylie Lopez.
As this was the 40th anniversary of the charity ball, past Miss Buena Parks were honored. In attendance were Dianna Hayes 1966, Debbie Donnelly 1990, Mary Cheadle 1991, Jennifer Miller Gaden 2002, Kimberly Sipes 2011, and Cassidy Deeth 2012
Soroptimist International is a service organization with the goal of improving the lives of women and girls in the community and throughout the world. Local Buena Park programs include the Smart Girls program for mentoring teens at the Buena Park Boys and Girls Club, the Soles for Kids shoe program, and the Christmas Teen Shopping Spree.
