Musco Center for the Arts at Chapman University presents the Chinese Warriors of Peking on Oct. 5 at 7:30 p.m.

Chinese Warriors of Peking will captivate and enchant with a stunning display of martial arts and acrobatics in Musco Center’s intimate, 1,044-seat performance hall. Set during the Ming Dynasty, this new production tells the tale of two rival martial arts disciplines competing in the ancient Chinese capital of Peking. Under the direction of Qui Jian, the Shaolin and Wudang performers demonstrate their exceptional athleticism through juggling, contortion, traditional weapons-handling, live stage combat and breathtaking, gravity-defying feats.

Chinese Warriors of Peking is an acclaimed martial arts company from The People’s Republic of China. The company gained international recognition when their award-winning “Slack Wire” act was adopted by Cirque Du Soleil. The group continues to garner attention with this new production that takes place on a reimagined Ming Dynasty court during the Emperor’s annual martial arts tournament.
