Internationally recognized tenors John Nuzzo, Vale Rideout, and Bruce Sledge return to Orange County for one romantic evening in Orange County’s great new performance hall to sing some of the greatest love songs ever written.
Renowned Japanese-American tenor John Nuzzo is best known for his lyrical voice. His credits include New York Metropolitan Opera, Vienna State Opera, Salzburg Festival, Monte-Carlo Opera, Munich Philharmonics, and NHK Symphony. Throughout his career, Mr. Nuzzo has performed with many leading singers and conductors, including Plácido Domingo and Ramón Vargas, and has been awarded the 13th Idemitsu Music Award in Japan and the Eberhart Waechter Medal in Austria.
American tenor Vale Rideout has garnered critical acclaim for his musical artistry and stagecraft throughout the United States and Europe. He can be heard on live recordings of “Rio desangre” (Albany Records, GRAMMY Award nomination), and as Frank Shallard in “Elmer Gantry” (Naxos, received two GRAMMY Awards, and voted No. 1 by Opera News “Best of the Year”), both produced by the Florentine Opera. Additionally, he is a tenor soloist in a live recording of “Carmina Burana” with the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra. Throughout his career, he has performed with renowned orchestra and opera houses in various concert halls, including Florentine Opera, New York Choral Society, and Dallas Symphony.
Tenor Bruce Sledge is one of today’s most in-demand tenori di grazia who sings a wide variety of repertoire with many international houses and companies, including Metropolitan Opera, Deutsche Oper in Berlin, and Canadian Opera Company. Bruce Sledge was a finalist in the 2002 World Voice Masters Competition in Monte Carlo, a finalist in Placido Domingo’s Operalia 2000 World Opera Contest and a national finalist in the 2000 Loren L. Zachary Vocal Competition.
Following the performance, audience members are invited to sip champagne and delight in chocolate covered strawberries at the post-concert reception.
