The Soroptimist International of Buena Parks 41st Annual Black and White Charity Ball on Oct.3 was a huge success. The culmination of the event was the crowning of the 2015-2016 Miss Buena Park.
Miss April Ortega take over in the role occupied the past year by Justine Banal, Miss Buena Park 2014-2015. Ortega attends Kennedy High School in La Palma. She has been a part of the Buena Park Police Explorer program for over two years, and in 2014, she graduated from the Explorer’s OCCLEAA Western Academy.

Ortega base her community service around this program. The Miss Buena Park Court of four princesses includes: Natalia Giraud, Bayley Saenz, Karla Zirkelbach and Jennifer Hartman. Ortega and the Royal Court will proudly serve as ambassadors to the city of Buena Park.
