Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament’s 2015 Crusade Against Hunger raised nearly four tons of food to benefit the Orange County Food Bank and Giving Children Hope. This is the second year in a row that the popular dinner attraction has sponsored a food drive.

The Buena Park castle offered discounted tickets during the month of February to any guest who donated a nonperishable food item. Medieval Times General Manager Pedro Goite said the community response was impressive.

“Guests young and old brought donations,” said Goite. “Some didn’t even attend the show … they just wanted to help. It’s heartwarming to see the community come together like this.”

Each week donations were delivered to the two local nonprofits. One day, Medieval Times knights surprised volunteers and helped pack the food boxes.
