Buena Park Mayor Virginia Vaughn engaged a large crowd this week at her re-election event inside the Los Coyotes Country Club. Many big-name politicians and celebrities, came out to show their support for her and to endorse her, as they all strove to raise funds for Mayor Vaughn ahead of the new election cycle. Council Member Fred R. Smith, world-renowned jazz and pop singer Patrice Djerejian, Former Assemblywoman Young Kim, and former Buena Park City Mayors Art Brown and Elizabeth Swift, were on hand amongst many others to help make the final push that will keep Vaughn in the Mayoral Seat throughout 2018.

“My main objective for this upcoming year is to continue to grow the entertainment district here in Buena Park,” explained Vaughn. “I am also focusing a lot of my attention on growing, and strengthening our local Police Department, to help the homeless population, and to bring more jobs to the city. Overall I want to improve the quality of life for the local residents here.”

Mayor Vaughn’s heart is really with the homeless population, as she strives for more solutions to help them.

“I see the situation on the Anaheim Riverbed. I feel that more needs to be done. It isn’t right, and I want to do what I can to change that.” Mayor Vaughn has teamed up with local business owner, and Boys And Girls Club Board Member Carmen Koo.

“Mayor Vaughn is my good friend, and mentor,” says Koo. “She has helped me to get 194 citizens off the street. They were homeless, some of them had children. She is simply amazing.” Koo’s parents used to run The Saint Joseph’s Catholic Store in Anaheim, and she has dedicated much of her life to philanthropy.

“I like how Mayor Vaughn and I can share in this sense,” says Koo. “She really has a heart for the people.”

Mayor Vaughn has her sights already set on the horizon with the addition of many new festivities within the city, that are likely to bring about more jobs for the local citizens. Construction jobs will be on the rise here within the “Center Of The Southland,” with all of the new buildings, hotels, restaurants, and stores being built. One of the new major attractions being built in Buena Park is the Butterfly Palladium on Beach Boulevard. The structure was created and built by Rubin Stahl, who is the main CEO, and Architect of the Butterfly Palladium. Author, and widely known Monarch Butterfly expert, Susie Vanderlip, along with Oceanographer and Insect expert William “Bill” Cooper also contributed to the development of this project.

“We have done it,” exclaims Stahl. “We have succeeded in bringing the entire country of Costa Rica to the City Of Buena Park. The structure overall is going to possess  mountains, live rain, volcanos, a bee cave, and warm tropical temperatures. We have mimicked the whole entire country’s eco-system to the T. It is all constructed under a state of the art weather dome. This weather dome, Butterfly Zoo, and Jellyfish Aquarium will in fact be the very largest in the world.”

Amongst all of the high-tech technology that will comprise the essence of the weather dome, there will also be a restaurant, shopping complexes, and a Chapel, and reception area to get married at within the structure.

“This is by far my most favorite project of mine that we are working on this year,” states Mayor Vaughn.  The City Of Buena Park is also going to build a total of four new major hotels this coming year with The Hilton, Hampton, and The Hotel Stanford, headlining the construction. Both Dodge and Jeep are also moving into the city with huge auto dealerships in the works.

“Another thing that my team and I are striving for here in Buena Park, is to better the parking situation along our roads and streets,” explains Mayor Vaughn. “This is important around our residential areas. We have situations where there are sometimes four to five families living in one home. We have people doing this because of the hit that the nation’s economy took over the past several years. The cost of living goes up, and now we also have older children having to move back in with their parents. These extra people in a home bring cars, so you have family members having to park off of the drive way, and into the street. This creates an overflow of cars on certain streets. Buena Park itself has grown to over 84,000 people, and that isn’t even counting the tourists from around the world that come here. This is why it is so important for us to find solutions for some extra parking places within our city.”

Knott’s Berry Farm is already making adaptions to suit the city’s growing population by upgrading, and expanding,  both its theme park, and its parking lots.

Mayor Vaughn, and her staff also hired a consultant to build many brand new rental apartments, and condos throughout the city to improve living conditions. 250 of these condos are going to be build right on the Entertainment District of Buena Park. Many of these new condos, and apartments are going to be geared toward senior citizens. “These condos, and apartments will be surrounded by 15 new restaurants that we are planning on building,” says Mayor Vaughn. “This all will bring an estimated 2,000 new jobs to the city alone.”

Both Rock n Brews, and Porto’s Cuban Restaurant, are already boasting that their top earning location for their restaurants is Buena Park.

“Only Virginia Vaughn could have pulled something off as big as this,” exclaims Former Buena Park Mayor Art Brown. “The best thing about Mayor Vaughn is that she studies before making any kind of move. She has a background in managing an Aerospace company. She has a history of being logical, and thinking things through. Her biggest asset though, is that she gets along with her peers, and is very personable. She is a great leader.”

It is with this skill of great leadership that helped inspire a Political Action Committee called “Impact,” to fully endorse Mayor Virginia Vaughn. She is in fact making history here in California by being the very first candidate that Impact has ever endorsed, and sponsored.

“I have known Mayor Vaughn for years,” says former Assembly Woman Young Kim. “She has a great caliber of people here to support her. She is a great public servant. She serves the community well. She even has the famous singer Patrice Djerejian here to sing a live concert here for her. Patrice flew all the way here from her home in New York.”

Patrice Djerejian is an internationally renowned recording and performing artist, songwriter and philanthropist.  Patrice’s award-winning talents have earned her the opportunity to perform all over the world including her sold out debut concerts at Carnegie Hall.

LHM Media has just released her highly-anticipated new album, You Are My Song, a collection of her original, inspirational jazz and pop songs.  It is available for download:  https://www.patricedjerejian.com/new-music

She will be back in Buena Park for the grand opening of the Butterfly Palladium to perform songs from her new album including the hit new single titled “Magic Butterflies.”

“As Ambassador for Stahl Butterfly Foundation, I’m passionate about planting seeds of love, hope, and miracles throughout the world – transforming lives one butterfly, one bee, one rainforest, one song at a time!” states Patrice.  Patrice’s albums can be purchased on her website www.patricesings.com or at https:store.cdbaby.com/cd/patricedjerejian on iTunes or Amazon.

With Mayor Vaughn at the helm, it looks as though the city Of Buena Park has a lot to look forward to in the near future. A lot of new changes, development, and trends, are sure to bring more excitement to a town that is already known for being one of the top premier entertainment capitols of the state of California.
