Twelve-year-old Yadira Rosario, of Anaheim, is an AAU outstanding athlete who qualified to run in the California State Games. She also was selected to be a torch runner in the Opening Ceremony at SDCCU Stadium on July 13.
Rosario attends Buena Park Junior High, has played multiple sports for several years in the Buena Park youth sports system. She also is a Girl Scout who has volunteered around town for many years.
This is her third year competing in the California State Games. In 2016, she attended the Junior Olympics and won the gold medal in the 800 meter event.
