Buena Park’s Speech and Language Development Center (SLDC) will host the 3rd Annual Walk Your Way with SLDC event at Knott’s Berry Farm on March 17. The event, which is sponsored by Knott’s Berry Farm and United Healthcare, will raise money to support the students of SLDC, a special education school and therapy center in Buena Park.
“Knott’s Berry Farm and their staff are wonderful supporters of SLDC and our students. We are grateful for their generosity and support,” said April Barnes, SLDC Director of Development. Walk Your Way is open to all families and focuses on being a safe and inclusive space for children and adults with disabilities. There is an interactive kids zone and sensory zone on the course for everyone to enjoy and the Resource Fair has wonderful local businesses that provide services for the walkers. Every registered walker will receive a commemorative t-shirt and a slice of Knott’s famous Boysenberry Pie. Sponsorship opportunities are also available.
