The OC Fair is ready for its close-up…are you? Fairgoers will have plenty of options to get the perfect shot in the first-ever OC Fair selfie experience, this year’s must-see exhibit. My Fair Selfie is a pop-up palace of photo fun and will feature 11 themed vignettes including a plush zone, carnival illusion, graffiti wall and more.
The selfie experience, located near Green Gate, will debut on July 20, launching with a special VIP party for $25 with drinks, DJ and loads of photo opportunities. Conrad the Unicorn is coming to help open My Fair Selfie! Fairgoers will get the exclusive chance to take their pics with the world’s most popular balloon unicorn.

After filling up you feed with selfies, hop on over to OC Promenade for libations and snacks. This year, Culinary Arts exhibits will include Stephane Treand’s Patisserie, a Craft Bar featuring garden-fresh mocktails and cocktails and several local culinary connoisseurs, including Chef Ray Duey and his vegetable carving. Plus, do not miss live chef demos and contests every day at the OC Promenade Stage.
Here is a list of exhibits at the 2018 OC Fair:
-Heart My Fair Selfie: A pop-up palace of photo fun featuring 11 themed vignettes. Open now near Green Gate.
-Museum of Agrarian Art: Curated exhibit featuring contemporary artwork representing farming, agriculture and the people who cultivate the land.
-Post-War Modern Furniture: A collection of mid-century furniture pieces from Kyle Fisher and Danny Torres.
-Historic Wedding Dress: Designer Stephen Yearick’s creation for Susan R. Jeske, the CEO of the Ms. America Pageant, will be on display. The dress was worn by Jeske in the spring when she wed James M. Irvine.
-Outstanding in their Fields: Life-size portraits of farmers, ranchers and ag workers will come to life to share their stories with fairgoers.
-Bounty of the County: Celebrating local agriculture, artist John Cerney created three 16-foot-tall murals featuring Tanaka Farms, Neff Ranch and Frank Fitzpatrick’s 5 Bar Beef.
-Rainforest Experience: Made for kids but perfect for adults, the Explorium’s educational exhibit is sure to encourage guests to race for the Amazon.
-4-H & FFA: Beef, hogs, lambs, goats, turkeys, broilers, rabbits, dairy cattle—what’s a county fair without livestock? Visit the animals raised by student members of local 4-H and FFA clubs.
-Heroes Hall:
-Bravemind: Using virtual reality to combat PTSD, this exhibit was created by USC Institute for Creative Technologies and is a hands-on experience for guests to learn how Bravemind has become a valuable resource for helping military and veterans.
-The SAAAB Story: Celebrate the history of the flight training center.
-Culinary Arts: Chef Stephane Treand’s Patisserie, Craft Bar, Olive Oil Tasting Bar, Cookbook Library, Farm-to-Table Train, Vintage Apron Display, Charcuterie & Cheese, Chef Ray Duey, UCCE Master Food Preservers of OC: The Canning Kitchen, Fermentation Farm, OC Local Honey, Culinary Crawl experience
