65th Assembly District Assemblywoman Sharon Quirk-Silva recently announced receiving the endorsement of the California Professional Firefighters (CPF) for her 2018 re-election campaign.

“Sharon Quirk-Silva has listened to local first responders about the difficult work we do,” said CPF President Lou Paulson. “She supports policies that help us protect the people of Orange County and California. Sharon has been tireless in bringing Orange County its fair share of state funding.

“She secured $53 million for Orange County through legislation, money that prevented cuts to public safety at a critical time. We appreciate her leadership.”

Quirk-Silva spent over 20 years teaching in the Fullerton School District prior to being elected to the Assembly in 2016. She is the former Mayor of Fullerton and served in the Assembly from 2012-2014.

The 65th Assembly District includes Buena Park, Cypress, Fullerton, La Palma, Stanton and most of West Anaheim.
