Economic trends, projections of the economy, the state of housing in California, and the current presidential race will be among the topics addressed at the 2020 North Orange County & Western Riverside Economic Forecast Conference at the Richard Nixon Presidential Library on Thursday, February 13. The keynote speaker, Dr. Christopher Thornberg, one of California’s leading economists and founding partner of Beacon Economics, LLC, has planned an in-depth update on the economic prospects of the national and local economic outlook.
Widely considered to be one of the nation’s leading economists, Dr. Thornberg has presented to hundreds of leading businesses, government and nonprofit organizations on a global scale. An expert in economic forecasting, regional economics, employment and labor markets and more, he was one of the earliest and most accurate predictors of the subprime mortgage market crash that began in 2007, and of the global economic recession that followed.
