Dr. Alexandria Coronado, an experienced conservative leader for California, and a candidate for the 65th Assembly seat welcomed young and old supporters at the new Republican Campaign headquarters in Stanton. Diehard Republicans including Stanton Mayor David John Shawver came in to show their support because she is the perfect candidate to represent the 65th district. After all, Coronado is a dynamo when it comes to making things happen. It is a fact that during her four years on the Anaheim Union High School District Board of Trustees, she was instrumental in assisting in the development of Oxford Academy, which was ranked the fourth highest performing school in the nation and first in California by U.S. News and World Report. She was the first Hispanic woman elected to the board in the district’s 100-year history.
Academically she is more accomplished than her opponent because she earned a Doctorate in Music Education from the prestigious University of California, where her doctoral research was conducted in partnership with the Orange County Performing Arts Center and the Orange County Department of Education’s ACCESS Program, an outstanding alternative education program. She was also elected to the Orange County Board of Education in 2002, was re-elected in 2006 and currently serves as the President of the Board.
She is without a doubt, by far the only candidate today that excels admirably in the field of education for our children. The first time I met her over five years ago, at her beautiful home, I saw a charming, honest and sincere state politician in the making. The same psychic vision I had about my friend Young Kim occurred. When I first met her, I thought she was the candidate, but I was told, she was just holding a get-together to garner votes for a candidate friend. The fact that she is the Treasurer for the University of Southern California’s Thornton Alumni Association should speak volumes on how well she will handle financial policies. You have to be an excellent and undeniably responsible alumni with exquisite financial knowledge to be elected to this position. She has traveled far and wide in her music education career with many of her music students accepted at major university music programs. She is a doer. The many admirers and supporters of this dynamic candidate were enthralled to listen to her delve into her platform.
The ambience was upbeat and friendly. The multi-cultural audience was composed of different nationalities who happily introduced themselves. A most pleasant surprise was when five young newly-arrived students from India studying at Cal State Fullerton stood up to volunteer. Their youthful, feverish enthusiasm filled the room, inspiring the older folks to follow their lead. They vowed to do everything in their power, from walking to calling people and persuading undecided voters. For even if they are unable to vote, they vowed to volunteer, because they believe in the conservative principles of the Republican Party. If we follow their strong work ethic, it is inevitable that Coronado will be the next and finest assemblywoman. Her hero father was also a decorated WWII veteran. He was also a member of the City Council of Cypress for years.
According to one politically savvy Buena Park resident, “Dr. Coronado should have been the ideal choice to head the OC Veterans office. It is a fact that [Assemblywoman Sharon Quirk-Silva] was in charge of that office and had a staff of five. She was paid $150,000 a year and they had two staff meetings. The taxpayers can’t afford Sharon Quirk-Silva. She was also the deciding single vote when the Dems decided to raise the gas tax. Dr. Coronado wants to repeal the gas tax and fight the Democrats to ensure that dangerous criminals are behind bars, not roaming our neighborhood streets. Her big aspiration is to not only make the 65th district a safe haven, but all of Orange County. We all known about the huge exodus of Californians to other non-sanctuary states, where political and personal chaos with violence is almost nil.” She is endorsed by Congressman Dana Rohrabacher.
The prestigious Orange County Republican Party also endorsed Coronado for the 65th Assembly District sea. President Fred M. Whitaker said that, “We must flip the 65th Assembly so 2018 is truly all hands on deck. When the patriots of the California Republican Assembly (CRA), volunteers of the California Republican Assembly are all in and Republicans are united, Republicans win.”
Lastly, CRA president Tom Hudson urged everyone, “Organize and motivate voters. Help our hardworking candidates. Republicans must rise up and battle to take back California and make it golden again!”
