The Savanna School District recently celebrated the opening of Cerritos School’s new Outdoor Learning Center, upper grade playground and a STEM Center, with a ribbon cutting at the site, which is located in Anaheim.
The Outdoor Learning Center will provide opportunities for school-wide assemblies as well as class performances while the STEM Center will enable students and teachers to further explore science, technology, engineering and math lessons in an expanded space. Lessons using green screen technology and Breakout EDU, along with coding lessons using pint-size robots such as Dash and Dot and Ozobots, will help prepare students for future jobs as today’s learners become tomorrow’s leaders.
These projects and more will impact the education of Cerritos School students and the community for generations to come, demonstrating the best is yet to come!
