Buena Park residents got a chance to meet the individuals they’ll be voting for in a couple of weeks, at a Candidates’ Forum on Oct. 16 at City Hall. The event was put on by the League of Women Voters. The City Council Chambers were full, and many questions were asked. Each candidate had the chance to make an opening and closing statement.
Keep in mind that Buena Park City Council voting is now done by district, and only three of the five districts are in question this year, so depending upon where you live, you may not see a City Council vote on your ballot. Only districts one (northern Buena Park close to La Mirada and Fullerton), two (from Beach and Artesia down to La Palma) and five (the western limits of the city) are voting on Council candidates this year.
