Buena Park High School football standout Jaylinn Hawkins was recently honored as a first team All-CIF selection for his play during the 2014 season. Hawkins was joined on the first team by offensive lineman Kevin Dixon. Hawkins and the Coyotes finished the season with a 11-2 overall record and advancement to the third round of the CIF Southern Section Southwest Division playoffs. Buena Park finished 4-1 and second place in the Freeway League. Hawkins, one of the more dynamic players in the state, had a splendid season, catching 79 passes for 1,352 yards and 16 touchdowns. Hawkins averaged 122. 9 receiving yards a game for the Coyotes in 2014. A big-time recruit, Hawkins, a senior at Buena Park, has been courted by the likes of Oregon and other Pac-12 Conference schools.
