The Buena Park High School boys basketball team is off to a roaring start. Before taking on Freeway League foes Troy and Sonora, the Coyotes had posted a winning record of 15-3, including a decisive 69-47 win against Sunny Hills. The Coyotes managed to outscore the Lancers in all four quarters in what was a close game until the final period. Buena Park outscored Sunny Hills 17-9 in the fourth quarter to pull away for the win. Deonte Beckham led the way for Buena Park, scoring a game-high 26 points and pulling down nine rebounds.
