Christine Panlasigui, 14, of Buena Park was selected as a finalist for KaraokeFest’s Crème de la Kids Contest during the a qualifying round on Saturday, June 7 at the Orange County Market Place, the weekend swap meet at the OC Fair & Event Center in Costa Mesa.
She sang Pharrell Williams “Happy” during the event, and now will vie in the finals at the Los Angeles County Fair in Pomona on Saturday, Sept. 6.

Twenty finalists, 17 years and younger, will be chosen during qualifying events every Saturday in June at the Market Place to compete at KaraokeFest 2014, the largest karaoke style singing event of its kind presented by Karaoke Scene Magazine. Trophies, cash and merchandise prizes will be awarded to the first, second and third place winners. Cash awards are $500 for first place, $200 for second place and $100 for third place.
