The Boys & Girls Club of Buena Park Learning Center is being reconstructed. We interviewed the program director Brian Reider about the remodeling of it. Reider told us a few things about the technology, workstations, and ceilings. To begin with, the learning center will be getting 16 new computers. Some of the computers we have now aren’t very modern and they don’t do things we need. New computers are important for one’s education so they can keep up with new technology. They will also be remodeling the workstations where kids do their homework.

Reider told us a few things about the technology, workstations, and ceilings. To begin with, the learning center will be getting 16 new computers. Some of the computers we have now aren’t very modern and they don’t do things we need. New computers are important for one’s education so they can keep up with new technology. They will also be remodeling the workstations where kids do their homework. Some of the dividers between each workstation have holes in them and are loose. The last thing they will be improving is the ceilings. Towards the back of the room near the air vents, there are some leaks. That bothers some students who work in the back of the room. Overall, the new learning center is going to be a better place to do work on computers or homework. The learning center needs money to be rebuilt, so it needs some sponsors. The big change is going to start in about four weeks. The learning center has not been majorly improved in many years. You might be wondering who is sponsoring the learning center. Let me name them: Ganahl Lumber, the Carpenter’s Union and a lot of other people who want to help the Boys and Girls Club of Buena Park. We had one anonymous supporter donate a lot of money. During the reconstruction they will be working on one side of the room at a time. When they are working on the work side, kids will do their homework in the arts and crafts room or Bob’s Woodshop. While they are working on the computer side, kids will be able to do their homework on the learning side. To conclude, the new and improved Learning Center is going to be amazing and a benefit to every member.
