The Buena Park football team snagged a needed win to end its Freeway League run. The Coyotes posted a 40-17 win against Fullerton on Nov. 2, which helped the team jump in the state rankings to No. 399.
Running Devon Boston had another amazing performance. He had 31 touches for 328 rushing yards, which practically counted for all of BP’s rushing attack of 373 yards. He also scored five touchdowns. Hakeem Williams also ran seven times for 34 yards and scored a touichdown.

Defensively, Drake Kieler lead the team with 15 tackles. Jaylinn Hawkins and Wakeim Mahan both had interceptions and four players had one or more sacks. That list included Drake Kieler, Tyler Henderson, Tofa Tupou, and Cameron Lynn.
Quarterback Matt Rivera completed 1-of-4 passes for just 5 yards. His only completion was caught by Hawkins.
Buena Park ends the season with 6-4 overall record and 2-3 mark in league. The team did not earn a spot in the CIF Southwest Divison.
