At the April 23 City Council Meeting, the Buena Park Police Department presented a check in the amount of $6,000 to the St. Jude’s Kathryn T. McCarty Breast Center. For the third year in a row, BPPD wore pink patches to raise awareness for breast cancer. Officer Dave Pantoja spearheaded the project, beginning in 2016. The patches are available for purchase from the police department, and the proceeds go towards a chosen facility. The Kathryn T. McCarty Breast Center is located in Fullerton.
