BP Lions Club celebrate student speakers

Each year Lions Clubs International sponsors a student speaker contest for high school students that, “Provides an opportunity for competitive public speaking for students on a subject of vital interest to the contestants and the American people as a whole.”

This year’s Buena Park Noon Lions Club Student Speaker Contest was held at the Knott’s Berry Farm Hotel. Pictured from left are Zone-level Chair Dr. Marc Poli, contests Tiffany Minton and Bansari Savaliya and Club President Art Brown.

The Club-level winner was Tiffany Minton. Minton continued to Zone-level recently, where she also won first place and will continue to compete at the Regional-level March 22. The 2016 topic is: “Liberty and Justice for All – What does that mean to you?”
