In May, Buena Park Elks Lodge National Service Chairman Jack Ray, along with Pam Roosevelt and Pat Fusco, participated in feeding about 280 Marines at the Camp Pendleton Marine Base. Fullerton Lodge members and Mike Mathers, PDDGER, also participated and cooked burgers and hot dogs, served various salads, chips, desserts and drinks. Ray said, “It was pretty much an all-day event, and we were proud to represent the Buena Park Elks Lodge. The Marines had a great day of playing games, eating and joining in the camaraderie that service people love to do. These men and women were so young. Thank goodness the proud Marine spirit will continue to live on. Semper Fi.” Pictured above are Marines with Buena Park Elks Lodge National Service Chairman Jack Ray, center.
