Boys & Girls Club of Buena Park holds frog contest

Frogs hopped and several of the sponsors wound up in the Winner’s Circle with their chosen frog at the Boys and Girls Club of Buena Park.   The biggest leap of the day was 96 inches for the entry of General Manager of Premier Chevrolet, Zari Chiaranian.   That made him first place in the car dealer category.  Other frog contenders in the car dealer competition was the VW of Garden Grove Sales Department for 2nd place at 69 inches.  Third place went to the VW, Service Department at 44 inches.

The event sponsored by the Suburban Optimist Club of Buena Park was a fund raiser to help our schools in the Buena Park, Centralia and Savanna Schools Districts, as well as the Boys and Girls Club of Buena Park.

In the Business category, 1st place went to Nate Jones Tires with a leap of 76 inches, 2nd place was Luca 1 ad 62 inches and third place went to Silky Sullivan’s of Fountain Valley with a jump of 57 inches.

The Service Club category:   1st place went to Psi Beta Psi at 58 inches, 2nd place was a frog sponsored by Delta Iota at 52 inches and third place went to Surf City Optimist Club with a jump of 51 inches.

In the Individual category:  1st place went to Frank Depina at 87 inches, 2nd place went to Dr. Sue Johnson, Superintendent of Savanna School District with a jump of 65 inches and 3rd place went to Diane Mellano with a jump of 63 inches.
